House Sitting

I have always had a special fondness for Victorian homes and have only ever owned older homes dating as far back as the 1800’s. When I was younger my interests centred more around renovating and interior decorating but as I grow older I find I’m more fascinated with gardens. I’ve always been an avid gardener and have transformed barren land into beautiful gardens but it wasn’t my priority. Having spent the last 22 years bringing up my son, Liam, and making a home or four, I am in a position to take a sabbatical before I buy my next property/project.

Besides all the marketing bumff above, I think that house sitting is more about respecting the homeowners space. I’ve had many people house sit for me for extended periods of time. I’ve returned home and been overjoyed at the condition I’ve found my home in but I’ve often been disappointed. My standards are impossibly high and I need to be in a clean, well organised, uncluttered space in order to function. It does not need to be new. It does not need to be perfect.

I have no intention of charging for house sitting and hope that in exchange for a roof over my head you will entrust me to care for your most precious possessions.
